Adventure World supports Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation (PMH). Every year, the Theme Park invites the families of Ward 3B Oncology to a FREE VIP event at Adventure World called ‘Big Day Out’.

The Big Day Out began 5 years ago, when a journalist advised Adventure World of a young boy, from Ward 3B, who wished to go to a Theme Park. The Team at Adventure World also heard more about Ward 3B Oncology at PMH and the families that get to know each other whilst the children are under their care.

Adventure World decided to sponsor PMH’s Ward 3B through an annual event called Big Day Out. The in-patients and out-patients are offered an opportunity to bring their entire family for a free day at Adventure World! The event is a wonderful chance for siblings of sick children to spend time with their parents and grandparents as well as a welcome break from the hospital. Every year, over 300 people attend Big Day Out.

On Sunday 3rd April 2016, Adventure World will be holding its 5th Annual Big Day Out. On the day, families are treated with a free gourmet lunch, a gift bag from Adventure World partners, and additional entertainment including face painting, an animal farm, and musical show performances. Fast Passes are also given to the children so that they do not have to queue for rides and slides.

This event is proudly supported by Bankwest, Coca-Cola, Streets, Network 10, McDonalds and Rosie-O Face Painter.

The Team hopes everyone from Ward 3B has an AWesome day with many long-lasting magical memories of their Big Day Out.
