Background Information
When the gates first opened on 11th November 1982, the park was originally called "Edgley's Adventure World".
Michael Edgley International was behind the creation and funding in building Adventure World; Michael Edgley International owned and managed the park until December 1990.
Before Adventure World was built the land was used as an industrial dump. It took 380,000 tonnes of sand to reshape the land contours.
Facts and Statistics
- Adventure World has 7 man made lakes.
- You can fit 120 football fields into Adventure World.
- Since the year 2000 the park has had a West Australian born and bred owner who lives only 15 minutes from the park.
- There are over $1.5 Million worth of rides for families with young children between the ages of 4 and 9 years – The Dragon Express Family Coaster, The Little Leaper & then The Barnacle & the Dragon Flyer.
